NOOOOOOOO

SORRY!!!!! I HAVE MADE THE BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER.........I CUT MY HAIR AGAIN AND GOT IT RELAXED BUT I HAVE A GOOD REASON.....see...it was prom time right and my mom was like "girl you need to straighten that mess"...I said "Uh huh"....but I thought she was just messin around but nope she was dead serious.......she made an appointment and everything.......it's all good though....she didn't want me to get a short cut BUT HA I DID (I will put pictures up soon)....but since I'm almost 18....I will be free from the reigns of a relaxed women....until then...KEEP IT SUPER DUPER NAPPY!

She is Super

So I was on yahoo smash mic pass...and I heard her ( Algebra) singing...I think she is SUPER and I LOVE her hair....PLEASE play her song because we need more "real" naturals in the music industry...

Well...I got protection!!

I cant do anything with my hair for another month or so ( or that's what I hope will happen )...usually I end up unbraiding my hair because I just feel like it.....or it itches like a monkeys butt (it depends).

But I am trying to keep my hair protected from the environment and my crazy hands so I can have this...........

I KNOW......ISN'T IT CRAZY COOL!!!( imagine me yelling that to myself when i found it)

New Years Hair

So I had some braids and this is the braidout I got....

But my hair was dirty and itchin like a monkey's butt.....so I washed...conditioned and did this....

My Bad

I decided to start a blog at the worst time...I'm a senior with no time and cant seem to find enough time to get any pictures of my hair up. But I will sooner or later...probably during winter vacation. For now I leave you with this...being a senior is crazy expensive...yearbooks $60...grad fee $80+tax...and thats only what I've already paid for...its crazy!!!

The Beginning

Hello world.....my name is Merline and thank you for taking a look at my transitioning journey....I'm not totally natural yet....but I will be very soon.
Right now I have braids and have been transitioning since July of this year(2007). I'm a senior in High School and I want to big chop before Prom.......hopefully that will work out.

My Plan:
To transition with braids and cornrows
To condition my hair once a week
To shampoo my hair once a month
To learn to style my natural hair
To encourage others to go natural
And to have a good time doin it!
